Home Learning Topic Tasks: Autumn 1    Autumn 2

Spellings: Children's weekly spellings relate to the sounds they are learning in their phonics lessons and are based on teacher assessment, therefore we do not provide half termly spelling lists for children in Year 1.    

Statutory Spelling Lists: Words that children should spell correctly and use in context by the end of Year 1

At Days Lane, we use assessment frameworks to track children's progress towards meeting age related expectations in reading, writing and maths. Parents/ carers are provided with copies of their child's assessment frameworks, at different points in the year, so that they can identify what their child has achieved and their next steps in learning (targets).
